Project Overview
In May 2017, Global Brigades completed the design of a new water system in the community of La Campos that would feed water to 612 community members.
La Campos, Honduras
The community of La Campos is located in El Paraiso in the southeastern part of Honduras. La Campos had a water tank that was built in 2007 however, this tank also feed water to two other communities which, at the end of the day, wasn’t enough for all three communities. When Global Brigades arrived at La Campos in 2017, they presented the idea of building another water system for the community, this way community members would have access to sufficient water to carry on with their daily activities.
Water System Solution
After the general assessment done by Global Brigades in 2017, the solution for La Campos was to build a 25,000 gallons water tank with a total of 10.00 kilometres of piping that now feeds 612 community members. The construction of this water system was finished in December 2017.
